Marie Jeger (1992) works as a dancer, choreographer and musician and moves with the means of voice, body and viola. She first studied music education at the Basel Music Academy and HKB, followed by a second degree in contemporary dance at La Manufacture (2021) in Lausanne. She is active in various collaborations, including as part of cie. zisch, whose first production of kicks! was selected and shown at Tanzhaus Zürich, Dampfzentrale Bern and Theater am Gleis in Winterthur. For performances and workshops she works around Basel, Zurich and Geneva. In her choreographic research, she plays with the form of the human body and the dialogue of thought and movement, often using the voice as a musical stylistic device. In March 2023 she will bring out her first full-length piece WESEN(fünf) with four other dancers at the exhibition space Klingental Basel.
