5 men – all sons – on their way from here to there, meet by chance in a snack bar. The timeless place becomes the centre of their world for a short time. Fracture lines, loss, lumps of stone, corners and edges shape their lives. Everyone has their memories, thoughts and dreams, their hate and love, their thirst for life. The music creates images and opens the space. Measured against the dictated ideals and demands of the present, their stories are hard to bear – but that is precisely where their power lies. “Sons” is an evening of theatre that uses artistic means to participate in the debate about our living together in today’s urban diversity.
