Theater > A&X

Content

Xavier is sentenced to two life terms for political reasons. His lover A’ida writes to him in prison. The power of her words, her courage and her desire for life are stronger than the walls and borders.
A&X is an evening against oblivion – against the oblivion of all those who stood up for a life without war and oppression and who stand up for it today. Poetically and sensitively, history is staged, which can happen anywhere in the world. Today – Now!
It is a story of great urgency, shaped by tenderness and by an explosive, political vision. Everything John Berger writes about has depth, is precise and gives an account of freedom and the lack of it, hope and its absence, love and the great longing that takes hold when a loved one is out of reach.
